New Sandwich Sign Permits in Denver
The City of Denver has recently changed the laws controlling the use of sandwich board signs by businesses. It is now legal for businesses to use sandwich boards, BUT, they must be regulated by permit. This is to ensure that they are put in the right place, don’t create a pedestrian hazard, that inspection and enforcement costs are covered, etc.
They have asked us to connect with you as local merchants to try out the new permitting process and provide them with feedback about the process itself: is it straightforward and easy? etc.
Although there will be a $50 permit fee after 1/1/10, it is currently FREE to apply for your sandwich board permit.We're encouraging all merchants in your area to try out the process and provide feedback in the coming weeks. We hope to help make the process as painless as possible - while helping you get out the word about your business!
Here's how to try out the process and then provide feedback to the City:
