Connecting Business Owners with Each Other

We host monthly networking events and topic forums so that you can trade advice and insight with your peers.

Local Biz Coffee Meetings & Happy Hours

Join us for our regular informal meetings at local businesses and enjoy engaging conversations about your business and our community. These no-pressure events are a great way to meet other local business owners. Our event calendar lists the upcoming meetings - hope to see you there!

Connecting Business Owners with Resources in Your Community

We work with local legal, financial, and marketing consultants to make services available to you.

Buzz Box

Monthly, real-scale events where we jump right into the challenges you’re facing in your business, and share ideas, resources and strategies for solving them. It’s a new way to learn from fellow business owners how to innovate solutions that address the changing economy and adapt to the needs of our community. Final Friday Resource Day

Every final friday of the month, partner organizations and business experts are available at our office to provide a no-pressure setting for you to get advice on a variety of topics. First come, first served from 10 AM to 1 PM. See what's schedule for this month.

Small Business Energy Program

MHBA is working with local officials to connect local businesses with energy efficiency resources. Through this program, you can:

Attend workshops on how to implement no- and low-cost resource reductions immediately (click here to register)
Sign up for a free energy consultation through the City of Denver, to help identify short and long-term solutions to reduce your energy costs
Sign your business up to have your energy come from Xcel Energy's clean, Colorado-sourced Windsource^®
Learn more about the Denver Energy Challenge.

Partners include CORE, Colorado Carbon Fund, the Governor's Energy Office, and City of Denver's Office of Environmental Health.

Small Business Week Forum

Small Business Week (held annually in mid May) culminates in a one-day forum designed specifically to connect business owners with community resources to help their businesses succeed.The 2011 Forum included over 30 free workshops and one-on-one consultations about starting a new business, supporting or expanding your existing business, connecting with your community, and government policy.

Business Referrals & Assistance

We've learned a lot about the organizations, programs and resources available to business owners, and we help connect you with the tools, resources, and people you need to support your business. Contact us for referrals, recommendations, and other support for your business.

Connecting Business Owners with Your Local Government

Our staff works to stay on top of local legislation and is always present to speak to your specific needs as a small business owner.

Mayoral Candidates Forum

We gathered together 9 of the 10 Denver Mayoral candidates to discuss the future of Denver's local economy. Candidates Carol Boigon, Michael Hancock, Doug Linkhart, Danny Lopez, James Mejia, Jeff Peckman, Ken Simpson, Theresa Spahn and Thomas Andrew Wolf participated in conversation around the important role small and local business plays in Denver's economy.

Staying on Top of Things

Sometimes this means speaking at House meetings, other times, it's in the relationships we build with local decision makers. We're always speaking up and speaking out about the issues that local and small business owners face.
